When Brushing & Flossing Doesn’t Cut it! Add Oil Pulling to your Dental Routine

Our mouths are full of germs. If I think about it for a minute, I’ll go a little bonkers. We brush, floss. use mouthwash, but there’s still some germs you may miss. The back of your tongue and underneath your tongue are spaces where most of these germs fester as our toothpaste doesn’t always reach. Mouthwash helps us out, but we are still lacking. What to do? Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is super simple and has health benefits that go beyond oral health care. Only 2 items are needed.

  1. Coconut Oil
  2. Spoon

We already know coconut oil cures everything. It is anti-bacterial & prevents gum disease and tooth decay.

How To DO Oil Pulling (Plus my life hack) 1-2-3

1. After you brush and floss, put a spoonful of coconut oil under your tongue.
2. Swish around as you would mouthwash but DON’T gargle or swallow.
3. Swish for 5-15 minutes, then spit in trashcan.

It’s important not to spit out your oil in the sink or toilet. Coconut oil, just like any other cooking oil, can clog your sink. So be sure to spit it out in the trashcan.

My Oil Pulling Hack
Do it as you shower! I take my spoonful of oil before I hop into the shower, swish while I bathe, then spit in the trashcan when I get out.
