While my kids were growing up, I loved celebrating their birthday. However, this was not simple. Because my kids were not normal. Star Wars and Disney Princesses were too mainstream. They never wanted a party theme that I could just pick up supplies at a local party or department store. Oh, no no. They had specific tastes that required me to create your own decorations: Madeline, Doctor Who, Strawberry Shortcake (Before SS became popular again).
